Matt Clancy brings over five years of experience in real estate acquisitions and corporate financial advisory. Matt is primarily responsible for underwriting and due diligence on prospective new acquisitions for the firm. Additionally, he provides asset management support to existing assets in the portfolio.
Prior to joining ZS, Matt was an associate at Grand Peaks Properties, a third-generation real estate investment and development firm based in Denver. At Grand Peaks, he was responsible for conducting all underwriting, executing the firm’s multifamily acquisitions & development across the West and supporting the team’s research and due diligence efforts. In that time, he and his vice president were responsible for $232 million in acquisitions. Before joining Grand Peaks, Matt was a financial analyst with Newmark Knight Frank’s commercial capital markets team in Denver and advised on over $3 billion of office, industrial, and retail underwritings across the Denver Metro Area. He began his career at KPMG in their advisory practice.
Matt earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration with a dual emphasis in finance and accounting from the University of Colorado Boulder. He is a member of the Young Alumni Mentors Program at CU and cherishes the opportunity to help guide students in their transition to the professional world. Matt is an avid runner, skier, and sports fanatic.
